WBI Collaboration

Blacklug X Women’s Brick Initiative
Blacklug and the Women’s Brick Initiative stand for a LEGO® community that does not ask for inclusion—but practices it. We reject gatekeeping, tokenism, and silence. We believe visibility is power, representation is responsibility, and community is something you actively build. Our work centers those historically pushed to the edges and turns the margins into the foundation. This collaboration exists to amplify voices, redistribute opportunity, and reshape the culture with intention—brick by brick, story by story. We don’t wait for space to be made. We make it.
Blacklug and the Women’s Brick Initiative come together through a shared belief: the LEGO® community is strongest when it is inclusive, representative, and intentional about who it uplifts.
Both platforms exist to challenge imbalance within the LEGO space—whether that’s the under-representation of women, marginalised genders, or Black and global majority creators. At our core, we believe visibility is not a trend, but a responsibility.
This collaboration is built on aligned ethos. Blacklug’s principle of Inclusively Exclusive meets the Women’s Brick Initiative’s mission to empower, support, and amplify women and non-binary builders worldwide. Together, we are creating space where voices that have historically been overlooked are not just welcomed, but centred.
Through joint interviews, shared features, collaborative projects, exhibitions, and community-driven storytelling, we are actively working to:
- Elevate women and under-represented creators
- Create equitable platforms for recognition and opportunity
- Encourage dialogue, mentorship, and collaboration across the community
- Redefine what leadership and visibility look like within LEGO culture
This partnership isn’t symbolic—it’s structural. It’s about long-term change, shared amplification, and building a LEGO community that reflects the diversity, creativity, and strength of the people within it.
Together, we’re not just building models.
We’re building pathways.
