Designed by @tuaz.on.bricks | Celebrating fandom, memory, and storytelling in miniature
There’s something powerful about small builds. Not because they’re simple — but because they demand clarity, intention, and storytelling at the highest level. Every stud matters. Every silhouette has to speak.
This new curated series of mini Lego builds, created in collaboration with Bricks & Minifigs (Carlsbad) and designed by the incredibly thoughtful builder @tuaz.on.bricks, is a celebration of fandom culture, cinematic legacy, and playful design intelligence. These aren’t just micro-models — they’re memory capsules, each one instantly recognisable, emotionally loaded, and beautifully engineered.
Blacklug is proud to help platform this work and spread love to a designer who understands that even the smallest builds can carry the biggest stories.
⚓ The Black Pearl — Pirates of the Caribbean
A silhouette so iconic it barely needs explanation.
The Black Pearl represents freedom, rebellion, myth, and the romance of the open sea. Translating a complex, chaotic ship into a compact mini build requires mastery of proportion — and this version captures the essence perfectly: the curved hull, the raised stern, the ominous presence.
It’s not just a ship. It’s a symbol of refusing to be owned.
🚒 Ghostbusters Firehouse — Hook & Ladder 8
Few buildings are as culturally embedded as the Ghostbusters Firehouse. More than a headquarters, it’s a character in its own right — the birthplace of camaraderie, chaos, humour, and heroism.
This mini version honours that legacy beautifully, capturing the vertical structure and instantly recognisable façade while remaining clean and readable at scale. For many, this isn’t just nostalgia — it’s childhood memory crystallised in bricks.
Who you gonna call?
Mini brilliance.
🌿 Bag End — The Shire, Middle-Earth
Bag End is comfort embodied.
In this tiny build, @tuaz.on.bricks manages to convey warmth, peace, and timelessness through shaping alone. The rounded doorway, the gentle landscape cues, the feeling of “home” — all present even at miniature scale.
LOTR fans know: this isn’t just a house. It’s a philosophy.A life of slowness, grounding, and belonging.
Why This Series Matters
What makes this collection special isn’t just accuracy — it’s curation.
This isn’t random fandom. It’s a carefully chosen cross-section of modern cultural storytelling:
Film
Animation
Fantasy
Gaming
Childhood nostalgia
Emotional storytelling
Creative legacy
Each build speaks to a different community, but together they form a shared language: stories that shaped us.
Next instalment coming soon
And that’s exactly the space Blacklug exists to support.
